Shrewsbury House Youth & Community Centre (The Shewsy) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified contractors for Phase 2 of our heating system replacement project at our Everton site.
About the Project
The Shewsy is a youth and community charity based in Everton, Liverpool, providing services and activities for children, young people, families, community groups and residents.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to undertake Phase 2 of our heating system replacement project, including plant room refurbishment and associated mechanical, electrical and Building Management System (BMS) works. The project forms part of our ongoing investment in maintaining and improving our facilities for the benefit of building users and the wider community.
Scope of Works
The works include:
- Plant room refurbishment works
- Mechanical heating system modifications
- Electrical installation works
- Building Management System (BMS) installation and commissioning
- Testing, commissioning and certification
- Production of as-installed drawings and operation and maintenance manuals
- Staff training and project handover

Environmental Sustainability
As part of the tender process, contractors will be asked to demonstrate how they will minimise the environmental impact of delivering the works, including approaches to waste reduction, recycling, sustainable procurement and energy-efficient working practices. Environmental sustainability forms part of the tender evaluation criteria.
